Walking around the pedestrian streets on a Sunday meant there were hardly any people on the streets! In Bavaria (Bayern) everything shuts down on Sundays and the only shops that are open are a few bakeries and cafes. This meant I could get some street photos with barely anyone in them!
There were some very harsh shadows in this photos but since I was shooting only in RAW (called NEF in Nikon-land) I was able to do some major adjustments in Lightroom and adjust the shadows and highlights to get an interesting photo.
Quick Tip: Always shoot in RAW if your camera allows it (or get a camera that does). RAW lets you play around with the exposure to a greater extent than JPGs do without losing quality. I use Lightroom or Photoshop with the "Camera RAW" plugin installed.
